Medan City, North Sumatra – (27/06/25) Amid the fervor of nurturing young sports talents, the Kebun Bunga Indoor Tennis Court on Candi Borobudur Street bore witness to the excitement of the "Medan Mayor’s Cup: Junior Tennis Championship, U12, U14, U16, U18 Boys/Girls." This prestigious event not only highlighted Medan City’s commitment to athlete development but also served as a stage for JÈSTHAM to demonstrate its full dedication to supporting the future of national sports.

The presence of Medan Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas, who officially opened the event, added a special honor. Accompanying him were Vice Mayor H. Zakiyuddin Harahap, Chairman of the Medan National Sports Committee (KONI) Mr. Aswindy Fachrizal, SE, Assistant for Governance and Welfare Muhammad Sofyan, Head of the Medan Youth and Sports Office Mr. Tengku Chairunisa, and Chairman of the Indonesian Tennis Association (PELTI) Mr. Sabaruddin, SE. This moment stood as tangible proof of the synergy between the government and various stakeholders in advancing sports.

Representing JÈSTHAM, CEO Thomas Iskandar, affectionately known as Koko, attended with enormous enthusiasm. As a brand committed to national sports, JÈSTHAM saw this championship as a golden opportunity to support young athletes and invest in Indonesia’s golden generation. This sponsorship reflects a grand vision—a collective effort to nurture more talents across various sports disciplines.

A total of 85 participants from the U12, U14, U16, and U18 age groups, hailing from various regencies and cities in North Sumatra and Aceh, displayed remarkable sportsmanship and competitive spirit. In his speech, Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas expressed his hope that this competition would produce outstanding talents capable of bringing pride to Medan City and even Indonesia in the world of tennis. "We believe this is crucial—for our children, for our pride, and for our collective spirit. Through this, we prove that the youth of Medan are capable and truly make us proud," he declared with pride.

During the event, Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas interacted directly with the participants. He called upon three young players—ranging from the youngest to the tallest—and asked about their motivations for joining the tournament. Their answers varied, from being "forced" by their fathers to simply pursuing tennis as a hobby. The moment was filled with laughter from the audience and concluded with the mayor presenting tennis equipment sets to the three brave young athletes.

The championship ended with a group photo session, where Koko Thomas of JÈSTHAM had the opportunity to capture the moment with Mayor Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas.
