Part 2: The 23-Year-Old Indomaret Brother, 30 Seconds Holding a Story Behind His Smile

Medan City, North Sumatra - (21/01/26) After the first brother's successful and touching act, now it's the turn of the Indomaret Brother to show his skills. Still with the same challenge: 30 seconds of free shopping for basic necessities with Jestham. Curious about how this seemingly calm cashier brother will perform? We guarantee the excitement is just as high, and there's even an emotional surprise ready to tug at your heartstrings. Let's watch together!

Before starting, Jestham had a quick chat with him. "Are you excited, bro?" she asked. "Yes, I'm very excited!" the brother answered with a confident smile. Rice, cooking oil, eggs, and Indomie were already on his main target list. The moment the cue, "1, 2, 3, go!" was given, he immediately moved fast. His hands skillfully grabbed items, and his eyes sharply searched for the next target.

The atmosphere in the Indomaret instantly became lively with the shouts from Jestham's team giving cues. "Eggs, bro! Grab the eggs! Indomie, bro, Indomie!" The brother, who was starting to sweat, remained focused on chasing the ticking clock. A few times he grabbed the wrong item but was quickly corrected by his friends' shouts. Tense? Definitely. Especially in the final seconds, with items still piling up in his hands and the basket starting to get full. As soon as time ran out, he was catching his breath, but his smile was wide. "Happy, bro? You must be overjoyed, right?" Jestham asked. "Happy, this is my first time," he answered innocently.

After being satisfied with the quite substantial amount of groceries, Jestham invited him for a deeper chat. It turned out this brother is only 23 years old and still single. "I'm an only child, living with my mom. My dad... he's separated [from us]," he recounted, his voice slightly faltering. Jestham, who began to sense there was something more behind his words, tried to dig deeper. And that's when the story came out that left everyone stunned.

"Dad left us and went with someone else; it's been over 5 years. He chose someone else over us," he revealed softly. Can you imagine how he must feel as a child who was simply abandoned? However, what's admirable is that he never blames the situation. Instead, he has now become the sole breadwinner for his mother. "The only one supporting my mom is me. For my own needs, I can still manage, but for my mom, I just give her everything."

Jestham, who was already getting emotional, asked, "If your dad watches this video, what would you want to say to him?" With an incredibly big heart, this brother answered, "I wish them well. I wish the best for them. Here, we are doing just fine on our own path." Such admirable resilience. Even though he was left behind, he still prays for the best for his father.

When asked what his motivation in life is, his answer was simple yet profound: "Because I remember my mom. My mom is all I have now." His life principle is also very simple: whatever work is halal (permissible) to earn a living, just do it. The important thing is to stay healthy so he can keep working for his mother. At 23 years old, his shoulders indeed carry a heavy burden, yet his smile never fades. Jestham closed the conversation with a touching message: that people may disappoint you, but God never does. This brother simply nodded slowly, his eyes welling up but full of gratitude.

Thirty seconds of shopping, which initially was just a game, turned into a special moment for him. Not just about the free groceries, but about being heard, understood, and given encouragement. There are still two other Indomaret brothers waiting for their turn, each with their own story. Make sure you don't miss it, because the next story is guaranteed to be just as touching!
