For the Sake of Family Happiness! This Father Is Willing to Never Take a Day Off

Guru Patimpus Street, Medan City—(17/12/25) Among the thousands of motorcycle taxi drivers hustling to make ends meet, there was Pak Fais with his faithful old motorcycle, accompanying him from dawn until late at night. That day, as usual, he accepted an order without knowing that fate was preparing the most beautiful surprise of his life. "Sir, we'll buy the items inside first, okay? We're going grocery shopping—you can take anything you want for two minutes," said Jestham with sparkling eyes, opening the door to a blessing he had never imagined before.

Two minutes. He had just 120 seconds to gather all his long-delayed dreams. Pak Fais's hands, usually gripping orders, now trembled as he picked out rice, oil, and sugar—simple items that were luxuries for his family. "Come on, sir, hurry!" Jestham cheered enthusiastically, while the camera captured every priceless second of this touching moment.

His life struggles were etched clearly in the wrinkles on his face. Working without a single day off, he could only bring home meager earnings that were barely enough to afford even a little extra happiness for his wife and three children. His devoted wife scraped by as a farmer on rented land, while his three children pursued their dreams in school. An income of 75,000 rupiah a day was a blessing; 200,000 on weekends was a godsend. But today, he received far more than just numbers.

With a trembling voice and tear-filled eyes, Pak Fais expressed the words long buried in his heart. To his wife, who had faithfully stood by his side for over thirty years, he conveyed endless gratitude for all her patience and understanding. And to his beloved children, his message was filled with hope and prayers—that they might achieve an education and a life far better than the one he had known.

To conclude, Jestham gave him an additional blessing—a simple package containing his wife's favorite sponge cake, a small symbol of the happiness he had struggled to provide. Pak Fais accepted it with a heart full of joy, feeling as if the weight of his burdens had lifted, if only for a moment. He rode home not just with bags of groceries but with immeasurable happiness—a beautiful memory that his entire family would cherish.

Amidst the road dust clinging to his motorcycle, there remains an unfading light of sincerity. May every kilometer Pak Fais travels lead to a happiness longer than the roads he rides. May his blessings flow like rain in the dry season—arriving just when needed, nurturing every seed of hope he plants for his family. For all fathers like Pak Fais, who turn exhaustion into prayers and loyalty into a language of love, may the world one day repay all your patience with sweet surprises you truly deserve.
