The Closing Star Who Stole Hearts: A Mother's Struggle as an Indomaret Employee That Moved Hearts.

Medan City, North Sumatra - (18/02/26) The final turn arrived, and this was the most anticipated closer. A mother with a wealth of life struggles, yet her eyes still sparkled with enthusiasm. In a thrilling 30-second action, she moved nimbly, not only collecting as many basic necessities as possible but also swiftly putting her children's supplies into the shopping basket, accompanied by a broad smile that never faded. That brief moment seemed to mirror her life; behind her busyness as an Indomaret employee and a mother of three children, she proved that love and spirit for her family can overcome everything while still maintaining an infectious cheerfulness.

Who would have thought, behind her agility while dashing between store aisles, lies a heart-wrenching story that moves hearts? As revealed in the conversation before the action began, her smile briefly dimmed when telling the story of her child who had to be entrusted to a grandmother who was already starting to fall ill. "Because of work, always leaving the kids, leaving them with someone else," she said softly, holding back her sorrow. Her simple statement about her third child, who is "often neglected" due to lack of time and attention, instantly touched the atmosphere. "Mom might not always be beside her children, but her heart is always beside them." Jestham's expression became a spirit booster, reminding her that a mother's love never truly leaves, even though physically she must be apart to earn a living.

As soon as the cue "1, 2, 3, go!" was heard, she transformed into a person full of energy. "Children's milk, children's milk!" shouted Jestham while continuing to help put pack after pack of milk into the basket. Her three beloved children, aged between 3 and 7 years, were her main motivation. Swiftly, she moved from the milk aisle, grabbed bread, and then skillfully took several packs of diapers. Her agile and calculated movements were real proof of a mother's struggle who knows her children's needs by heart, even under immense time pressure.

After the shopping was done, a beaming smile once again adorned her face. Jestham hoped that the groceries she managed to collect would bring multiplied blessings, which she sincerely affirmed. Amidst that happiness, she shared the bittersweet reality of her life. The biggest challenge as a working mother is time. Coming home late at night when the children are already asleep, and leaving in the morning while they are still sleeping, has become a painful routine. Even just to pick up school report cards or attend children's events, she often has to miss them due to a busy and unpredictable work schedule.

Amidst her complaints about the guilt of often "leaving the children while they are asleep," she actually found remarkable wisdom. "Rather than me not working, it might be worse for them," she said wisely, realizing that sacrifice is the key word in her life. Although physically not always at home, she believes that her heart and prayers are never separated from her children. This perspective was strengthened when she told how Jestham's presence brought her happiness through this shopping challenge. "So sometimes when Cici (the host/Jestham) comes... there's always, even if just a little, some happiness that stops by," she said innocently, opening the pages of her heart, which remains spacious even though life is full of struggle.

To her children, her message was simple: "You have to become humans who can share blessings. Even if you can't give big, just small, you can be useful to others." She wants her children to grow up to be individuals who can become "God's extended hands" for those less fortunate, exactly like the small happiness she feels now from the kindness of others. A valuable lesson is that even in limitations, kindness and gratitude can still flourish.
